Care of Your Trophy Buck for the Taxidermist AND Deer Carcass Dumpsters in Wisconsin

We are glad to have Mike Richards back with us this fall.  Mike is owner of Mike Richards Taxidermy. Mike will be talking with us on how to care for your trophy buck so that it is ready and in shape for the taxidermist, to ensure the best mount possible.   Check out more of his work on his Facebook page:  Mike Richards Taxidermy

And…Tom Hauge is joining us again this year.  Welcome back!  Tom Hauge is a wildlife biologist, retired from Wisconsin DNR with 37 years of service, including nearly 25 years as Director of the Bureau of Wildlife Mgt.  Tom is now with Wisconsin’s Greenfire, Voices for Conservation.

Tom will fill us in on the “Deer Waste Disposal System & Sites” in Wisconsin.    Wisconsin’s Greenfire is sponsoring deer dumpsters to slow the spread of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) and you can help them by adopting a dumpster.

“Wisconsin prides itself on the quality of our deer herd and the availability of hunting opportunities, however with a successful harvest comes the generation of deer carcass waste. Unfortunately, much of this waste is discarded in the fields, woods and waterways that support our herd, raising the risk for the transmission of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD).”      Get all of your questions answered on the WI DNR Webpage
