Amazing Alaskan Photography Adventure AND Deer Tracking Dogs

We are excited to have Bruce Faanes back to the show. Bruce is an award-winning photographer who travels worldwide to capture wildlife in their natural habitat.  His photos are amazing! Bruce and his wife Fran recently returned from a trip to McNeil Wildlife Refuge in Alaska.  A true wildlife photography adventure.

From his website:bfaanesphotos.com
“The images on this site are a collection of shots from the Upper Midwest, Canada, Alaska, The Arctic, Svalbard, Norway, and recently, The Great Bear Rainforest of Beautiful British Columbia, Canada, in search of the fabled “Spirit Bear.” I view it as a work in progress with more places to visit and more subjects to capture than I can do in a lifetime. Every session in the field, I try to capture something more unique than on a previous photo shoot…”

Check the photos on his website!  They are available for purchase, what a wonderful gift for the nature lover.

And, one of our favorite dog trainers is joining us – Linda Timmens from Spring Valley Kennel.  Spring Valley Kennel offers boarding, puppy daycare, grooming, training, and…deer tracking services.   Linda will be talking with us about their deer tracking dogs.

From their website:  SpringValley-Kennel.com

“Our dogs were imported from Poland and Slovakia with special attention to making sure they came from working lines. Our Polish hound Kieler, was named Tracking Dog of the Year for the U.S. and Canada by the Bavarian Mountain Hound Club of America in 2015, ’16 and ’17 in recognition of his recoveries.  Our new up and coming Polish import is Dani, a two-year-old Bavarian.  She has shown remarkable progress and is fully ready to track this fall. Linda tracks with Krasna, our Slovakian import.”
