Welcome to Corey Sellers from “Wishing We Were Fishing Guide Service”.  Corey is a a licensed and insured professional fishing guide in South Central Wisconsin. He guides in open water and ice.  He mainly guides for pan fish and bass but is pretty much successful in whatever he does.  Corey also works at Wilderness Fish & Game is Sauk City, Wisconsin.

And  we  welcome  Mike  Arrowood to the show this Saturday.  Mike is with “Walleyes For Tomorrow“.   Mike has been voted The Conservationist of the Year by Outdoor News!  Congratulations to Mike!   We are going to chat with Mike about his award and his passion for enhancing the fisheries of Wisconsin.

 

 

Walleyes for Tomorrow is a project-oriented organization with the goal of increasing the population of Walleye in the waters where habitat projects are undertaken.

 

 

 

 

 

Some of the things they work on:

• Water quality and habitat improvement
• Construction and/or improvement of spawning areas
• Spawning protection
• Stocking
• Studies and research
• Promotion of selective harvest and/or catch and release
• Awareness and management of aquatic ecosystems to achieve a balanced fish community
• Education and public awareness of issues important to the resource
• Other methods and activities that may have a positive effect on the improvement and stability of walleye and sauger production.
