Becoming an Outdoors Woman Adventures AND The NPAA Future Angler Program
“Becoming an Outdoors Woman” began in 1991, offered at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. This successful program has become popular in more than 40 states and several Canadian provinces ! We welcome Peggy Farrell to the program this Saturday morning to talk about past adventures and upcoming adventures. “Peggy Farrell is the director of the Wisconsin Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program. In her 21 years with BOW, she has welcomed thousands of women to the outdoors by teaching them beginner-level outdoor skills to help them enjoy nature and become more confident. Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) offers hands-on, outdoor workshops held in a safe, supportive atmosphere with patient, enthusiastic instructors. No experience or special equipment is necessary.
BOW is for adult women of all ages and fitness levels.” What could be better than this!

Join us along with Jimmy Bell of the “National Professional Anglers Association“ (NPAA). Jimmy is on the Board of Directors and is a leader of the “NPAA Future Pro Program”, to get more youth interested in the sport of fishing. “Our mission for years has been to grow the sport. I can think of nothing better than getting young people involved. Each of these new Future Pro Members has a passion for fishing that they can share with their friends in a positive way. Ultimately, we would love to see the “Future Pro” Members become a large percentage of our association’s membership ranks assuring a future for the NPAA and the sport. ”
