All About Deer Hunting: DNR Updates, and Decoys, Calls, Scents, and Tree-stands
We are thrilled that Tom Mitchell is coming back to the show. Tom is an avid bowhunter from Waunakee, Wisconsin. We will be visiting Tom in his tree stand in the woods. We are going to talk to Tom about his experiences and strategies in the hunt: tree stands, deer decoys, deer calls, deer scents and binoculars – (Vortex, of course!)
Tom has harvested many trophy bucks in his bowhunting “career”, including Pope & Young sized and two Boone & Crockett sized bucks. Tom also loves mentoring kids to get in to the outdoors and maybe even hunt, this includes his own kids, Max & Maddie. Tom says – “I thank God for making me a bowhunter!”
Second up on the show is Jeff Pritzl. Jeff has been with us many times. Jeff is District Wildlife Program Supervisor at Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Jeff will give us an overview of the 2024 deer hunt: dates, regulations, hours, licensing, where to hunt, etc. Remember, rules and regulations change regularly, we need to pay attention.
