The 5th Annual Casting for Kids Benefit AND A Marine Electronics Learning App

We are so excited for Mark Osiecki’s 5th Annual Casting for Kids Benefit Fishing Tournament.  Mark Osiecki is joining us this Saturday to talk about this wonderful fundraising fishing tournament, followed by dinner and auctions.  Mark is a former NHL hockey player, college hockey coach and he has had a great career as a Badger!  Mark has a great hockey mind but he also has a big heart.  He founded the Casting4Kids Fishing Event with catch & release fishing, a dinner and fundraising auctions – all for kids with cancer and their families.  To date, the event has raised over $450,000.00 for children with cancer.

“Our event was created to help children who are fighting cancer at the nationally recognized American Family Children’s Hospital / UW Carbone Cancer Center. Participants in our event share a passion for children, community involvement and fishing. We raise money by asking local fishing guides to take participants out fishing (including National and local celebrities) in a tournament format. In addition, the Casting for Kids event includes a fundraising dinner and both silent and live auctions with net proceeds being donated to the American Family Children’s Hospital / UW Carbone Cancer Center. “

This year’s even is at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin and is held on Saturday May 20, 2023.

We have a brand new guest joining us this week – David Janiszewski.  David is founder of ‘Ripalip Marine Electronics Protection System‘ AND  ‘Ripalip University – The Marine Electronics Learning App‘.    David is going to tell us about their amazing learning app.  Many of us have spent hundreds and even thousands of dollars on marine electronics, and many of us anglers are oftentimes frustrated with the complexity of settings and choices that vary based on electronics manufacturer.

From their website:

“At RipaLip University we teach people how to get the most out of their marine electronics through an app that you download on your smart phone or tablet.   Regardless of your expertise level, anglers rely on some type of marine electronics for navigation, fish and structure location.   The RipaLip University app helps you setup, tweak and dial-in your marine electronics by making it convenient for you to retrieve technical information, tips and settings while they are on the water, when and where they need it the most.”
