We are excited to have Larry Smith on the show. This is the Larry from the Larry Smith Outdoors TV show! Larry is a great outdoorsman and has fished, hunted, and spend as much time as possible in the outdoors all over North America. Larry is also a fishing guide for both open water and hard water fishing. Larry is a featured seminar speaker and fishing educator at sport shows all over the Midwest and Larry will be at the upcoming Wisconsin Ice Fishing Expo December 13-15, 2024 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Be sure to check him out on YouTube and Facebook.
Our second guest is also a featured exhibitor at the Wisconsin Ice Fishing Expo. Bob is an author of children’s books about fishing and the outdoors – ‘Bob Allen Books‘. These books are great fun, entertaining, well written, and the illustrations are fantastic. A great way to help children learn about the outdoors.
“I was born and raised in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. After a couple moves on Otter Street we settled into a house on the corner of Bay and Otter. Our home was two short blocks from the mouth of the Fox River and Lake Winnebago. That was a very convenient location to get hooked on fishing. I later became a life member of the Otter Street Fishing Club which boasts over 1,000 members and is dedicated to the betterment of fishing on Lake Winnebago and the Fox and Wolf chain of lakes. The club annually hosts one of the biggest walleye tourneys in the state and sponsors a kids fishing day with over 400 participants this past year.
“Fishing has remained a constant passion in my life. I spent several years as an independent contractor in the hunting, fishing and outdoor sports field as owner of Quest Marketing Inc. I also traveled the Midwest for several years fishing on the Professional Walleye Circuit. More recently, before retirement, I worked as Fishing Mentor at the Richfield Cabela’s for 7 years. I still fish Lake Winnebago during the summer and especially enjoy taking the sons and grandsons fishing.”
