Fishing in Eagle River AND Cabela’s Big Bass Tour in La Crosse

Our first guest this week is ‘Ranger’ Rick Krueger.  Ranger Rick is a pro Muskie & Walleye guide with over 30 years of experience AND success in Northern Wisconsin.  He specializes in trophy fall Muskie fishing.  Rick and his wife Jamie own a well-stocked and beautiful store in Eagle River, Wisconsin called ‘Guides Choice Pro Shop’.    Waldog and Rick will discuss how the fishing is going in the Eagle River area and Rick will give us some history on his fishing tackle and outdoor shop.

Second up for an interview is Greg Martell, first place winner of the Cabela’s Big Bass Tour held in August in La Crosse, Wisconsin.  Greg won with a weight of 5.51.   Greg and Captain will talk about the new format for this tournament.  Unlike traditional bass fishing tournaments where anglers weigh in five bass at the end of the day, the Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s Big Bass Tour provides amateur anglers from all skill levels the opportunity to win multiple cash payouts each day during the hourly weigh-ins.  Each tournament day features seven hourly weigh-ins that pay ten cash payouts each hour.  How cool is that?
