Fishing Report Eagle Lake, Ontario and Part II of The Mississippi Speed Record
Welcome back to Tony Puccio! We love having Tony on the show. Tony is a Fishing Guide on Eagle Lake in Onatario, Canada.
Tony will fill us in on how the fishing has been this summer, what they are catching now, and how they are catching the big ones.
Our second guests are returning to continue our conversation about The Mississippi Speed Record film. Alex and Amy Maier are adventure and documentary filmmakers and own Wilderness Mindset. Their vision for Wilderness Mindset is to ” Explore how the wilderness can improve our mindset and our outlook on life”. No doubt that is true for most of us, right?
We will continue our fascinating talk with Alex and Amy about their recent filming of The Mississippi River Speed Record. In 2023, four canoers decided to break the speed record for canoeing from Lake Itasca, MN to The Gulf of Mexico. They paddled 24/7 . They made it in 16 days, 20 hours, and 16 minutes. This is 23 hours faster than the previous record! Check out their website: https://www.mississippispeedrecord.com/
The canoers are: Scott Miller, Paul Cox, Wally Werderich, and Judson Steinback.
There have been showings of the film in Minneapolis, MN, Columbia, MO, and La Crosse, WI. At this time it is not known if there will be more showings scheduled.
