Welcome back to Trevor Munn from Quam’s Marine and Motor Sports in Stoughton, Wisconsin.  We love to chat with Trevor about what is new and exciting in the vehicles we love for the outdoors!

Our second guest is Lisa Gaumnitz.  Lisa is Coordinator for SOS Save Our Songbirds out of Madison, Wisconsin.  It wouldn’t be much fun outdoors without the beauty of the birds and their amazing calls.  Lisa will talk with us about the birds in Wisconsin that may be in trouble with steep losses and continuing decline.   “In Wisconsin, 68 species are officially listed as endangered, threatened, or have low or declining populations and could become endangered unless targeted conservation actions are taken.  Even once common birds in Wisconsin are seeing declines, including Baltimore Orioles, Barn Swallows and Eastern Kingbirds.”

“Major bird and nature conservation organizations launched SOS Save Our Songbirds in March 2023 to raise awareness of birds’ dire situation and spur action at home.  By providing basic Wisconsin-tailored information, hands-on events, discounts and supplies, we’re helping people make small changes at home to give birds the habitat they need year-round and reduce window threats.
