Who is “The Bird Hunter”? And “Saving the EcoSystem One Bite At A Time”

Our first guest this week is known as “The Bird Hunter”, and that is Mr. Ray Braly.  Ray is an excellent outdoorsman who loves bird hunting.  He has lived and hunted in Alaska, Texas, Arizona, and now…Wisconsin.  Ray hunts anything that is edible.  He fishes and hunts with his bird dog Lilly.  Ray and Lilly were recently on a do-it-all-by-yourself bird hunting adventure in Montana.  They targeted sharptail grouse and Hungarian partridge on BLM, BMA, and state land where there are thousands of acres of public land to explore.

Chef Philippe Parola                     Chef Parola’s Cook Book                                    Chef Parola serving President Gerald Ford

Our second guest this week is Chef Philippe Parola.   Chef Philippe Parola, “Commandeur des Cordon Bleu de France”, has spent decades working with invasive species.  Over the years, through all of his experiences, cooking wild game and exotic animal meat became his specialty. He has prepared dishes with hundreds of species.  Naturally, his experiences and recipe successes eventually led him to consider invasive species as a potential food source and a means of diminishing their population.  This has led Chef Philippe to create an invasive species recipe book that features 40 invasive species with hand-crafted, gourmet-minded recipes – “Can’t Beat ‘Em, Eat ‘Em   –   Saving The Ecosystem One Bite At A Time“.   Let’s find out more about this amazing chef who cares about the environment and more about his cookbook.
