Another Successful Casting for Kids Event! AND Cabela’s National Walleye Trail Format
Another huge success. Congratulations to Mark Osiecki Casting for Kids Event last weekend. And Pat Westberg (AKA The Next Big Deal) will join us and tell us how things went at the special event and how funds are raised. This event is a benefit for the American Family Children’s Hospital and the UW Carbone Cancer Center. Pat along with his guests for the tournament Keven Van Kammen and his son Jack, won 1st place in the 4th Annual Casting for Kids Event on the Madison Chain of Lakes.
Pat is an excellent multi-species anger and fishing guide. He is a seminar speaker and educator on fishing. Pat’s attention to detail makes a difference when it comes to putting more fish in the boat. And, Pat has agreed to share his techniques for catching big spring bluegills.
Our second guest is Anthony Wright from Cabela’s National Walleye Trail (NWT). Anthony will be talking with us about the tournament in Prairie du Chien, WI June 9 and 10, 2022 and the format for the tourney. Anglers can register to fish with a professional fisherman! It is a lot of fun.
A bit about Anthony from their website: “With over 20 years experience in competitive fishing, Anthony Wright serves as the official Tournament Director for all National Walleye Tour events. An accomplished angler in his own right, Anthony’s background spans all levels of the sport – from regional events and team tournaments to premier Tour level competition. Beginning as a volunteer staff member with FLW Outdoors, Anthony quickly rose from field staff to Tournament Director, where he served for 6 years working with the FLW Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League. Anthony brings unparalleled credibility to the National Walleye Tour. His tenure and industry experience, along with his background as a firefighter and EMT, provide a unique ability to thrive under pressure, especially in high stress environments. “
