The Baraboo Rivervest AND Archery Season Tips & Secrets

Joe Vanberkel is a member of Friends of the Baraboo River  (Friends of the Boo) and he will be joining us this Saturday to discuss this successful project and the upcoming Baraboo Riverfest, celebrating 20 years of river revival.

Baraboo Riverfest commemorates the 20th anniversary of the last dams being removed from the Baraboo River. The waterway became the longest stretch of restored, free-flowing river in the U.S. Over the past two decades, water quality and fish habitat have improved, and recreational river use and eco-tourism have surged.   Lake Sturgeon and many other fish species not call the river their home because it is once again a free-flowing river system.

The Baraboo Riverfest  is a family event and is free.  It is on Saturday October 2 from 9 AM to 4 PM.  There are many planned events:  *  Paddling events *  Run / Walk *  Fish stocking, *  Music  *  Food *  Family Entertainment   & MORE
