The Outdoors Woman! AND Capital City Muskie School

           
Matt Livingston will be talking with us this Saturday morning about a study he recently completed on WOMEN IN THE OUTDOORS.

Matt lives in La Crosse, WI and studied  Marketing and Sales.    He is a sales associate of sporting goods at Ace Hardware in La Crosse and a Naval Reservist.

We asked Matt why he decided to research this topic:  “This research was completed to help companies and stores better organize themselves in such a way to create value for existing female anglers and how to create new female anglers based on female motivators.”  In other words….how should a store or company change to attract the female outdoors woman to their store or product, eh?

Survey overview:
Two part survey, first part involved in interviewing seven female anglers both professional and weekend anglers. Then created open ended survey questions that would help in the research. The survey was gender-specific and given in-store at Ace Hardware in La Crosse Wi and online to three private Facebook female angling pages. The survey reached roughly 1150 female anglers, 200 people clicked on the survey and 179 surveys were considered valid and used in the results of the survey.
